Fun in Flatforms

I recently purchased some flatform shoes! I was looking for something comfy that I could wear all day standing on my feet at work, but also that could give me a little lift which I always need ( being 4'11 and all). I found two great shoes. I tried them on at the store, and it was love at first try. I could not believe how comfortable these shoes are! The soles are flat but are raised for height. Without the huge heel your feet and back are less strained. This trend is actually from last year but I think they are making a comeback for summer because I have seen many shoes in this style.What are your thoughts?

Inspiration

I am the WORST blogger ever. I know. I have not done a post in almost a month. There has been a lot happening. My cute little apartment that I moved in to had a major flood and I had to move out, I graduated from College (again), I found a new job, and It is actually my 25th birthday as of 46 minutes ago. I will post some phone snaps of things that have been happening, but today I wanted to post about fashion. I am starting my new job next week at a clothing store, and looking good is a requirement! I have to be on my fashion game every day. I have been looking for some inspiration on different sites and blogs. I am looking to make my wardrobe a little less hectic. I want to have basic pieces that I can mix and match, but use accessories and shoes to mix it up. I find myself overwhelmed by my closet ( not right now because all my things are in storage!)  Im constantly saying " I have nothing to wear" while I stare into a sea of clothes. Once I get all my clothes back from storage I have decide I will be selling a lot of things. I want to have a few great, favourite and classic pieces instead of hundreds of not so special pieces. Here are a few outfits that are inspiring my new " capsule wardrobe". I need to shop...:)

Happy Birthday Mama-dukes

Tomorrow is my mums birthday and I wanted to do a big birthday shout out to her. I am a definitely a mamas girl. My mum is the first person I call with any news, good or bad. She is the first person I go to for advice and she is usually right about everything, like mothers often are. My mum does so much for our family and I cant thank her enough for everything she does. She is creative, smart, beautiful, nice and caring and I love her so much so HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY MUM!  

New Digs

As i mentioned before, I recently moved into a  new apartment. It in a great part of the city and although it is small, I love it. It is nice to have a place of my own. I have everything I need here in my little apartment, washer and dryer, dishwasher, gym, pool. I am lucky to have my mum who is a decorator. She helped me put everything together and place things just right. Which was hard in this apartment because if we wanted to move something, we had to move everything else out of the way first because space is so limited! I love my parents house in Florida and wanted to re-create the look here as much as I could, you know without the sun and palm trees. We decided to do pretty much all white furniture and then have bright accents. Being the girly girl I am that accent was pink. Some pink carpets and then some fun pillows to funk it up a bit. 

Fa la la la Fashion

I may be getting ahead of myself, and perhaps a summer fashion post will jinx our beautiful weather. But I am doing it anyways! With the summer weather we have been having its easy to get inspired by fashion. I have been in many stores in the last week, sourcing clothes and accessories for our photoshoot with C&P and there are great things happening in the stores. Zara, Urban Outfitters, Aritzia and H&M are a few of my favourites. All the stores are right on trend with brights, pastels, flowy skirts, pj inspired pants, crisp whites. I usually like to wear comfy easy clothes. Love loose t's, leggings, soft jeans and some toms. I also really like long skirts and dresses and I am glad to see so many in stores for the upcoming seasons!  Here are a few outfits that are inspiring me right now.
